Aligning Your Inner and Outer Selves

How to resolve inner and outer conflict and live with more peace

Do you experience conflict between how you feel and how you want to live?

Do you sometimes notice that your outer actions are not a true reflection of your inner feelings?

Do you have trouble communicating why you feel disconnected, worn out, and distanced from yourself and others?

If any of these things ring true it's time to look at how you can better match your insides with your outsides; it's time to align your inner and outer selves.

Whatever results you’re getting, be they rich or poor, good or bad, positive or negative, always remember that your outer world is simply a reflection of your inner world. If things aren’t going well in your outer life, it’s because things aren’t going well in your inner life. It’s that simple.

T. Harv Eker

What if there were a way to resolve the conflict you feel that led to better, more satisfying ways of living and working?

In this four section course, I'll guide you through a repeatable process you can use to translate how you feel inside into a way of living and working that can help bring you peace, fulfillment, and a sense of connection with yourself and others.

By completing written assignments and taking time to reflect on what you're learning you'll have the opportunity to not only figure out what parts of yourself need to be more aligned but also learn what steps to take to bring your inner and outer selves closer together.

I'll also introduce you to new ways of thinking and offer tips on how to handle and communicate the changes you're making.

As with all Roots of Abundance courses, you'll have the opportunity to complete art or photography exercises within each section which may bring a different level of insight and fun to your journey.

Thoughts lead to feelings. Feelings lead to actions. Actions lead to results.

Here's what's included:

Week 1 image

Personal Meaning

This section is all about looking within. You'll figure out what pain points you have, how you want to feel, and your inner story. We'll also begin to pinpoint some "whys" that will help guide you toward concrete action steps in future sections.

Week 2 image

Influences

In Section Two, we target your outer circumstances and reality. We'll be looking at actions - why you're doing what you're doing, and also at influences on your life. We'll also get into some new ways of thinking about your "whys" during this section.

Week 3 image

Connecting the Dots

In this section you'll bring what you've learned together and start breaking through to figure out specific mismatches. You'll create solutions on how you can more closely align your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and continue to embrace new ways of thinking. You'll also start to figure out who your allies are in your change process and start thinking about ways to communicate the changes you'll be making.

Aligning the Selves

This section is about working the process and living in better alignment. I'll go over communication tips and you'll get to implement everything you've learned during our time together.

It’s your life, but only if you make it so. The standards by which you live must be your own standards, your own values, your own convictions in regard to what is right and wrong, what is true and false, what is important and what is trivial.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts and finishes on your schedule. This is a completely self-paced online course so you can move at your own pace to get the most out of the content.
How long do I have access to the course?
How great does forever sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
How do the assignments work?
Each lecture can be completed by reading and then answering the questions in a dedicated notebook or document. Because people learn differently, I've included art and photography exercises each week but the written questions are the heart of the course. Please note that if you choose to do the art and photography exercises, no special skills are required, just an enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to have some fun in the process.
I'm excited about doing the art and photography options. What supplies do I need?
Items you may want to have include a blank journal or book, colored pencils, colored fine or medium point markers, various sized notecards, and white or colored letter sized paper. Remember for photography - you can use your phone or a regular camera. Just be sure you have some way to group photos together.
I'm not into art or photography. Will I miss out if I don't do those exercises?
Not at all. People learn differently so I always include those exercises but the written exercises are the heart of the course. Do what feels best for you and skip the art and photo prompts if those aren't your thing.
If I want to only do part of the art and photography exercises is that OK?
Absolutely. This is your course so as long as you're doing the writing exercises, feel free to pick and choose the art and photo exercises that feel most meaningful to you and skip those that don't.
Will I miss out on anything if I don't join the Facebook group?
Not at all. All the course content lives here so think of the Facebook group as a bonus place to share and connect if you think you'd benefit from being around others who are on a similar journey.
